Porcupines in Trees!!!

What!?!  I thought porcupines were ground creatures!  So when my friend called me from her office and told me there were porcupines in trees near MY office.. I had to see.  Sure enough there they were.  Now, never having seen a live porcupine in the wild, I found this to be a spectacular lifetime event.  So I called my dear husband who totally loves me and supports my photography habit.  And God Bless him he drove my camera 40 minutes so I could take pictures of a couple of porcupines in trees.  (Truth be known, he wanted to see them too.)

Check out these cool little guys!

  1. Excellent. Its nice to see photos of porcupines in Maryland. Porcupines are rare south of Pennsylvania but I knew there were Porcupines in Western MD. Iam a Wildlife Photographer and my favorite photography spot is Huntely Meadows Park in Va. I have photographed so many birds and mamals in the park. I would love to photograph porcupines someday. I plan on going to Conowingo Dam to photograph the Bald Eagle gathering wich last throughout the fall and into the winter. up to 100 Bald Eagles or more and sometime some Golden Eagles Show up during the migration. Check these places out and Good luck with your photography. Here is my flickr page. www.flickr.com/photos/kestrel48/
